Down by the Docks
Straight Wharf and Old South Wharf are a favorite place for visitors to take a stroll. There are so many shops, galleries and restaurants that create a buzz of excitement. We love taking walks along the docks to see all the beautiful boats and people enjoying life on the island!

Tall Ships
On August 16, 2012 – the heavily armed Clipper Schooner Lynx, a 122-foot square top sail schooner Lynx sailed into Nantucket Harbor. Upon her grand entrance she fired from her main battery of 6-pounder carronades. According to Jeffrey Woods, Executive Director of the Lynx Educational Foundation, “the Lynx is scheduled for a five-year mission along the East Coast of the United States and Canada celebrating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner.” …
Nantucket Lightship Baskets
This Nantucket Lightship Basket was designed and crafted by Martha Lawrence, who has been constructing baskets for the past twenty years. Her work is found in collections both in the United States and abroad and was selected to be in a Smithsonian exhibition of American crafts at the 1996 Olympics.
