• Daffodil Festival

    The Nantucket Daffodil Festival will begin on April 28th, 2017 and run thru April 30th, 2017 with over three million daffodils of every color, shape and size are in full bloom. The central event of this fun-filled weekend is the Antique Car Parade, showcasing over 100 vintage cars all decked out with sunny yellow daffodils and other creative embellishments beginning Saturday at 9:30 a.m. At noon, the antique cars wind through town to the charming village of Siasconset for the Annual Daffodil Tailgate Picnic, attended by visitors and locals alike. Other activities during the day are the “Daffy” Dog Parade, the Children’s Daffodil Parade, the “Daffy” Hat Pageant, and the Nantucket Garden Club’s annual Daffodil Show. Families can enjoy a picnic and concert at Children’s Beach in the afternoon.
  • Summer on Nantucket

    Nantucket Island is only five miles wide and 14 miles long, but offers such a diverse area to explore. The town of Nantucket is a quaint New England village with its cobblestone streets, bustling wharfs and over 3,000 historic homes from the whaling period. Visitors are welcomed by the Brant Point lighthouse at the opening of Nantucket Harbor, which anchors the lovely seaside neighborhood. The popular Jetties Beach is not far from here and is frequented by many visitors. It offers a beautiful sandy beach with calm waters, lifeguards, restrooms and changing facilities. Nantucket Red Lobster Salad

Prep Time: 20 minutes          Serves: 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup chopped lobster meat
  • 3 tablespoon Hellman’s Mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped scallions
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • Garnish with parsley

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and chill for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Serve slightly chilled on a fresh roll with lettuce.
  3. Garnish with a little parsley and enjoy!
