This is one of our favorite spots to stop and enjoy a charming view of the Old North Wharf while eating a frozen treat from The Juice Bar. Um… only the best ice cream and frozen yogurt joint ever! It’s our favorite. Famous for their homemade waffle cones, which are warm and crumbly like a cookie and can only be described as Absolutely Amazing! Now, 95% of the time I get the yummy Rum Raisin but every once in a while I try to be a little healthy and go for the low fat frozen yogurt (yeah I know, keep your thoughts to yourself). This time I tried the Minted M & M low fat fro yo (new flavor) which was simply AMAZING on a hot summer day! Another praise worthy ice cream flavor is the Brownie al a Mode. Unbelievable. Yes, the lines are often insane (and rarely fast-moving), but once you try it – you will see why this place is as popular as it is. So, if you haven’t added it to your bucket list of things to do on Nantucket – do it now!

Endless Summer of Hydrangeas
I couldn’t resist cutting a few of the blue hydrangea from my backyard to display in an old Nantucket basket on our deck. They are one of my favorite shrubs on the island because they are so easy to grow! And if you want more of them – no need to buy them – just take a few shoots (roots and all with a spade) from a larger shrub and plant it in another area of your garden. …
