Ireland Galleries

Enjoy wine and cheese every Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with live music and check out the wonderful art displayed inside and outside the Ireland Galleries.  Owner, Lorene Ireland is an accomplished painter, sculptor, and glass maker. Her gallery is easy to spot with the trademark bright yellow door and bright yellow Adirondack chair.  It’s a must see if you walking the shops along Old South Wharf.

Ireland’s gallery specializes in one-of-a-kind handmade furniture, figurative drawer sculptures and decorative items, covered almost entirely in mosaic patterns using shells, glass and porcelain china.  Ireland spends her winters designing and creating works of art and jewelry that combine realist and impressionist styles which are truly unique works of art.  She also sells some of her products at the Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market on Saturday mornings.  Recently, she opened a shop next door called Nantucket Chic, which also has it’s own distinct look in pink.
