Five fun things to do on Nantucket

    Mar 05 2014 Leave a Comment

Planning a trip to Nantucket this summer?  Well, here are five fun things to do the next time you visit…

    1) Walk Straight Wharf and Old North Wharf to enjoy the boats, check out all the galleries and shops and be sure to stop in at one of the local restaurants with live music!  After a few drinks and some yummy food in the heart of Nantucket you won’t want to go home. 2) Bike out to Madaket (or drive if you prefer) and take in one of the many amazing sunsets.

    3) Invite a few friends to enjoy an evening at Cisco’s Brewery.

    4) Rent a kayak from Sea Nantucket Kayak and enjoy a few hours exploring:

The Creeks: A short paddle from the Sea Nantucket Kayak brings you what seems like another world. The Creeks offer numerous streams through the salt marshes. The water is warm and shallow and the wildlife is abundant, great for families.

Coatue: Pack a lunch and head over to Coatue where you can find seclusion even on the busiest of days. The shell hunting is not to be missed.

    5) Explore the island by 4 wheel drive. Be sure to check out ‘Sconset Village and it’s rose cover cottages and if you have time you should definitely plan an afternoon drive out to Great Point.
