    The Club Car

    Best lobster roll ever!

The Club Car is a restaurant on Nantucket that speaks to the timelessness of classic cuisine, continental-style dining and Old World mannerisms. Located at the foot of Main Street, just a short walk from Straight Wharf (where the ferry docks) – The Club Car is a fun “cozy, little spot” with great ambiance, service, and atmosphere. …

    Winter on Nantucket

    Snow covered streets of Nantucket

Winter on Nantucket is calm, cozy, and romantic. It’s when the Little Grey Lady turns back to it’s laid-back, small-town roots. It’s exquisitely peaceful and scenic with it’s snow covered streets, twinkling street lights, and the smell of warm log fires. The perfect setting to relax, recharge, and revitalize. …

    Sconset Bookstore

In the center of Sconset Village you will find this cute little store with a sign that reads: “Sconset Bookstore.” Owned by the charming Rolf and Cindy Nelson, who run the Sconset Café next door, this tiny shop carries no books but rather a well-curated selection of wines, sold by the bottle and half bottle.  …

    Indian Summer on Nantucket

    Nantucket in the Fall

The weather here on Nantucket has simply been beautiful, crisp fall air, and brilliant blue skies.  October is a great time to visit Nantucket and truly enjoy the natural beauty without the crowds.  Shop the local stores and dine out to meet some of the locals and find out why they love Nantucket so much.  Have you ever visited Nantucket after Labor Day?  What did you think?  Do you like visiting the island when it’s hopping with visitors during the summer months or do you enjoy visiting the island when it’s less crowded and more relaxed?

    Park by Nantucket Airport

A perfect place to enjoy the amazing statues representing life on Nantucket.  This one is one of my favorites as the children look so realistic.  The grass is nice and green and it is the perfect space to toss a Frisbee around and have a little fun!  There is plenty of space between statues so you could also bring a picnic basket and enjoy a nice relaxing afternoon with your favorite book and some good food!  Has anyone read any really good books lately?  I just finished reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak which I really enjoyed but now I’m looking for another good book to read.  Any suggestions?
