On September 19th and 20th the Nantucket Island Fair delivered another fun filled day for family and friends. The island event resembles that of a traditional country fair and brings out a true community spirit.
This event was held at Tom Nevers Field and there was something for everyone! We really enjoyed the Fairy House contest as well as Gertrude’s Harvest Exhibition, where local islanders showcased their hand made and home grown talents.
Family favorite Ray’s Barn Yard welcomed some cute animals! And this year’s dog show offered some fun categories like Waggiest Tail, Best Dressed, and Cuttest Mug.
Another new addition was the cupcake-eating contest, where Nantucket Bake Shop donated some of their delicious cupcakes, which were devoured by contestants. Topping off the weekend was some great live bands that offered live entertainment! Now that’s my kind of fun.
