Every once in a while we go in search of inspiring coastal furniture. We found this sail cloth headboard on Coastal Living.com and thought it would be a really cool DYI Project. Now we just need to find some recycled sail cloth! Does anyone know where we can find some?
This DIY Oar Headboard is an inspiration piece for anyone living by the sea. It offers a unique charm to any coastal home and is not that difficult to make. You will need to collect approximately 14 to 16 reclaimed wooden oars (depending on the size of your bed). Once you have what you need you will need to attach them with screws to a couple strong boards that can be screwed securely to the wall. The bed should cover these boards so you should only see the beauty of the reclaimed oars. You won’t want these oars falling onto your head during the night while you are sleeping so it is extremely important that they are very secure when you screw it to the wall.

These DIY sailboats made from driftwood, sticks, and natural white cotton material are adorable. I found them on a blog called wildflowerfarmhouse.blogspot.com, now called Flax and Spindle.
